FAQ

What types of media do you use?

I use I variety of stuff including: Prismacolor, Copic, and faber castell markers, Derwent and Prismacolor Pencils, polychromo pencils, Watercolor pencils, Micron inking pens, and sometimes Sharpie. I use basically whatever I can get my hands on.

What is the difference in the different kinds of pencils that you use?

Well the four main types of pencils that I use are: Derwent Coloursoft, Prismacolor Premier, faber Castell Polychromos, and Faber Castell Art Grip.

Both types of faber castell pencils are "hard pencils" meaning that the lead is very sturdy and not soft. This makes these types of pencils great for things like details. I find the Polychromos to be richer in color than art grip. Though, Art Grip are probably best to use for fine details.

Prismacolor and Derwent Coloursoft or both very soft colored pencils. I use them for layers of color underneath my detail layers.

What types of pens do you use for lineart?

First of all, I use very very thin pens to do this job. I rarely ever use a tip size greater than 0.3. This is because I want the lineart to be barely nooticeable when I am through with a drawing.

There are three brands of pens that I would recommend: micron, faber castell, and copic. My first choice would be micron. They are very cheap, don't smear easily, and are very common. The only problem is that the tips are ruined easily.

If you are looking for a high quality pen I would use copic.

What paper do you use?
I normally use cardstock, bristol board, or watercolor paper.

Will you do an art trade with me?

I am very busy but occassionally I do open trade spots. You can look at my status on deviantART to find out if I am open for trades.

Will you draw something for me?

I am very sorry but I simply do not have the time to take requests. However, I do take commissions. You can check my commission status through the shop link.
