This is a coloring tutorial that will hopefully help explain different materials and how they can be used to create neat effects.

 

For this tutorial you will need:

1) Some sort of paint. Preferablly watercolors or acrylic ink

 

2) A white gel pen, whiteout, or white acrylic ink

 

3) A heavy paper. watercolor paper or bristol board will do just fine.

 

4) Colored pencils.

I prefer:

-Polychromos

-Faber castell art grip

-Derwent colorsoft

-Derwent Studio

-Prismacolor

 

5) a pencil

 

6) A utencil for inking is optional

 

 

If you do not have any of these materials it is always possible to use substitutes. For example, if you don't have paint just use colored pencil for the background.
